    Local Area

Taking a break in the Isle of Wight is the perfect way to enjoy this beautiful island’s family friendly resorts, lovely safe beaches and exciting leisure facilities. As you’d expect from an island with 60 miles of beautiful, unspoilt coastline and famously sunny weather, you’ll find an excellent range of water sports and other thrilling activities. The Isle of Wight is a favourite with sailors and deep sea anglers, but you can also try your hand at windsufing, jet skiing, sailplane flying and hang gliding. And the Blackgang Chine Fantasy Park or breathtaking chairlift rides at Needles Park offer plenty of adrenaline boosting fun.Explore the island’s amazing prehistoric legacy at the Dinosaur Farm and Dinosaur Isle Museum or search out living wildlife at the zoo and at Parkhurst Forest, one of the few remaining habitats of the British red squirrel. There’s lovely coastal and country walking and cycling too - the more energetic might like to follow the round island route.

The park was very nicely kept, and not allowing cars near the caravans certainly made it a lot more secure and safe for children and dogs to play!

Holiday park has good facilities including lovely pool, games room. Launderette and playing field which we used regularly for kids to play ball games and use climbing frames. Park is set in lovely area and short walk to a nice beach.

A quiet, clean and well kept park. We especially enjoyed the walks highlighted in the welcome pack and the children enjoyed the football pitch!

Friendly, welcoming site offering first-class accommodation. Whilst peaceful, there is plenty to occupy children, including a very pleasant, safe swimming pool. Within easy reach of ferry ports and the island's quality beaches, Hillgrove will certainly see us again!

Trouble free booking, and plenty of friendly advice about the park and the accommodation.

Quiet, peaceful and perfect for a relaxing family holiday. We visited with our 2 year old and found the park to be really family friendly. There were playgrounds for different age groups, a toddler pool alongside the main one and all cars are in the car park only, not near the accommodation. Two village shops for daily basics are less than a 5 minute walk away, and the huge Tesco Extra is about 10-15 minutes away for emergency supplies of nappies etc!

It was a fantastic location and caravan, in which we thoroughly enjoyed.

A superb place to stay. Very clean and peaceful. Very secure for young children as cars are not allowed near the caravans. If you want a great place to stay that's clean and quiet on the I.O.W. then this is it. This was the second year we have been back and fully intend to go next year.

Wonderful site, quiet, clean, and well maintained. Staff very friendly but we never needed them as everything was perfect.

The park is beautifully kept - tidy, spacious, quiet and peaceful. Certainly the best by far that we have stayed in. There is a fantastic array of things for kiddies and teenagers to do - pool, adventure playground, putting, football goals, basketball posts, games room. I've never seen such a good variety in any other park that I have been to and I have been to plenty. It is a fantastic area for the sea or for the wonderful walks in the area. The guide in the caravan was great and provided loads of good information. We were absolutely 110% impressed with everything and could find nothing to fault at all. A wonderful holiday indeed!!
